Volunteer Opportunities

volunteer might do.

- Socialize cats and dogs (Play with them)
- Provide transportation to the vet
- Groom the animals
- Fundraise for the animals
- Provide handyman skills in and outdoors
- Assist with basic shelter tasks
- Walk dogs
- Provide temporary home care for shelter
animals - Assist with office work
The SPCA of Hernando County is currently looking for volunteers who are committed,
accountable and responsible to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours a month to help us “Speak
for those who cannot speak for themselves." We need friendly, outgoing and personable
volunteers to assist the public and staff in our shelter.
We are in need of volunteers seven days a week and invite you to come in, meet our staff,
and tour our facility.
We are open to the public daily 11 -3.
Volunteers may begin any time after 8:30 and work your choice of hours up until 4:30. Our
most needed times are from 8:30 to 11:00 while we are cleaning the rooms and cages.
However, any time you have to donate, will be greatly appreciated.
